About Limon
Limon is the capital town and most important hub of Limon province, in addition to of the canton county of Limon in Costa Rica. It is the second one largest town in Costa Rica, with a populace of over fifty five,000, and is home of the Afro-Costa Rican network. Part of the network strains its roots to Italian, Jamaican and Chinese people who worked on a late nineteenth-century railroad assignment that connected San José to Puerto Limón. Until 1948, the Costa Rican government did not understand Afro-Caribbean human beings as citizens and limited their movement outdoor

The Afro-Caribbean community speaks Spanish and Limonese Creole, a creole of English. Christopher Columbus first dropped anchor in Costa Rica in 1502 at Isla Uvita, simply off the coast of Puerto Limon. The Atlantic coast, however, become left largely unexplored through Spanish settlers till the 19th century.
