Exceptional Kahuzi-Biega National Park

Recognized as a safe haven for rare species of birds and animals, the Kahuzi-Biega National Park is a Natural World Heritage Site, d in 1980. It contains a total land area of 600,00 hectares, and is located in the Kivu Region in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The park shares its Kahuzi-Biega National Parkeighborhood with the Rwandan border and the Kivu Lake, and is also an ancient habitat for gorillas.
