About Tame
Tame is a town and district in the Arauca Department, Colombia. The district has an aggregate territory of 5,300 km². The district was investigated by the German conquistador Jorge de Espira in 1536 where he experienced a few Indian clans from the Arawakan and the Goajiboan dialect families; Arauca, Caquetio, Lucalia, Girara, Chiricoa, Cuiba, Guahibo and Achagua. The Girara individuals inhabited the correct area of the cutting edge town.
Tame was established by Alonso Pérez de Guzmán on June 12, 1628. It additionally established "Espinosa de las Palmas" close-by, for regular citizen Spaniards.
