About Guadalupe Hill
Guadalupe Hill is situated in the Eastern Hills, tough from the focal point of Bogotá, Colombia. Together with its neighboring slope Monserrate, it is one of the points of interest of Bogotá. At the highest point of the slope, a withdrawal and a 15-meter high statue have been raised.
Guadalupe Hill is the sort area of the Guadalupe Group, a Late Cretaceous sedimentary arrangement of sandstones and shales of 750 meters thick.
The arrangement is thrust over more youthful strata by the invert Bogotá Fault amid the Andean orogeny. The slope is the hotspot for the Manzanares and El Chuscal brooks that stream westwards onto the Bogotá savanna.
