About Zhanqiao Pier
In addition to the May fourth Square, Zhanqiao Pier is yet another memorable symbol of Qingdao. It was constructed in 1893 and utilized as a port when Qingdao was still a small village. Since it is near the Qingdao railway station, it is the most gone by spot in Qingdao. It is 400 meters in length with a structure called the Huilange Pavilion at its tail-end.
The Huilange Pavilion some of the time hosts exhibitions, however most of time it basically offers different sorts of ocean items and decorations. There's a beach called "the sixth bathing beach" just underneath Zhanqiao Pier where you can appreciate the daylight and go for a swim.
