About Yuquan Temple

Yuquan Temple is a Buddhist temple in Dangyang, Hubei, China, first built in 593 during the Sui dynasty. Zhiyi supported the development, and the name Yuquan was given by sovereign Yang Guang the future head. It is currently one of China's Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level and National Key Buddhist Temples in Han Chinese Area. Be that as it may, absence of upkeep throughout the thousand years, termite pervasion and different vandalism particularly amid the Cultural Revolution 1966– 76 all added to the flimsiness of the sanctuary before 2003.

In 2003, in the wake of accepting a substantial gift from Hong Kong businessperson Yeung Chun Fan and others, and with the endorsement of State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the sanctuary experienced a reconstructing that completed in 2008. Yuquan Temple, a world acclaimed Buddhist place of worship and an outstanding beautiful territory in China, is situated at the eastern foot of Yuquan Mountain, 12 km far from Dangyang City, an antiquated war zone of Three Kingdoms, Changbanpo. It was begun by Master Pu Jing in the 24th year of Jian-an Emperor in Eastern Han Dynasty 219 AD when he settled down at the foot of Yuquan Mountain. In the second year of Datong in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, Emperor Liangwu requested to fabricate a sanctuary titled Fu-chuan-shan.
