About Xingfu Temple
Xingfu Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary situated at the foot of Mount Yu in Changshu, Jiangsu, China. The sanctuary was first development as "Dabei Temple" or "Sanctuary of Great Compassion" somewhere in the range of 494 and 502 by prefectural representative Ni Deguang, under the Southern Qi administration. It was generally reached out in 539 and renamed "Fushou Temple" or "Sanctuary of Blessing and Longevity", During the rule of Emperor Wu of Liang tradition. It was likewise called "Poshan Temple" since it sits along the Polong Stream.
Xingfu Temple has been assigned as a National Key Buddhist Temple in Han Chinese Area by the State Council of China in 1983. In 868, in the ninth year of Xiantong period in the Tang administration, Emperor Yizong recorded plaque with Chinese characters "Xingfu Chan Temple" to the sanctuary. The current principle structures incorporate Shanmen, Mahavira Hall, Hall of Four Heavenly Kings, Hall of Guanyin, Bell tower, Drum tower, Hall of Guru, Dharma Hall, Huayan Pagoda, and Pagoda of Xingfu Temple. Chang Jian, a Tang line artist lived in the mid-eighth century, lauded a ballad "Composing on the mass of a lobby at Poshan Temple" subsequent to visiting the temple.
