About Wudang Mountains

The Wudang Mountains comprise of a little mountain extend in the northwestern piece of Hubei, China, only south of Shiyan. They are home to a well known complex of Taoist sanctuaries and cloisters related with the god Xuanwu. The Wudang Mountains are famous for the act of Tai chi and Taoism as the Taoist partner to the Shaolin Monastery, which is associated with Chinese Chan Buddhism. The Wudang Mountains are one of the "Four Sacred Mountains of Taoism" in China, a critical goal for Taoist journeys.
On Chinese maps, the name "Wudangshan" is connected both to the whole mountain go which runs east-west along the southern edge of the Han River, crossing a few province level divisions of Shiyan, and to the little gathering of pinnacles situated inside Wudangshan subdistrict of Danjiangkou, Shiyan. It is the last explicit zone which is known as a Taoist center. Some view the Wudang Mountains as a "branch" of the Daba Mountains range, which is a noteworthy mountain arrangement of the western Hubei, Shaanxi, Chongqing and Sichuan.
