About Riyue Mountain
Being a part of the Qilian Mountain Range, Riyue Mountain is situated in the west of Huangyuan County, Qinghai Province. Riyue Mountain was the main street to Tibet ever. In the main year amid the reign of Emperor Ming in the North Wei Period, the accomplished priest Song Yun went to India for Buddhist sacred writings from Luoyang City by means of Riyue Mountain. The mountain was called Chiling Range amid the Tang Dynasty in light of its grassless chestnut peak.
Amid the Tang Dynasty, the Chinese Emperor sent his little girl Princess Wencheng to make a vital marriage with the Tibetan lord Songsten Gampo. At the point when Princess Wencheng left for Tubo for her marriage, she passed the Chiling Range. She took out the Sun-and-Moon Treasure Mirror given by her mom at takeoff, and saw her country Chang'an. For the reason for the solidarity of the two nationalities, she tossed the mirror onto the mountain. The mirror transformed into the Qinghai Lake and her attacks a stream named Daotang River.
To remember the princess, the mountain was renamed the Sun-and-Moon Mountain. Afterward, the two Pavilions on either side of the pass, named "Ri" and "Yue", were worked to recognize Princess Wencheng's forfeit. Lying 40 kilometers from southwest Xining, Riyue Mountain is without a doubt a superb place from which to see the scene around Xining. With the normal height of 4,000 meters high over the ocean level, it is the limit of rural region and peaceful zone of Qinghai Province.
