Qufu

Qufu is a city in southwestern Shandong Province, China. It is situated around 130 kilometers south of the commonplace capital Jinan and 45 km upper east of the prefectural seat at Jining. Qufu has a urban populace of around 60,000, and the whole regulatory area has around 650,000 occupants. Qufu is best known as the main residence of Confucius, who is customarily accepted to have been conceived at close-by Mount Ni. The city contains various memorable royal residences, sanctuaries and burial grounds.

The three most well known social destinations of the city, aggregately known as San Kong, the Cemetery of Confucius, and the Kong Family Mansion. Together, these three destinations have been recorded as an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.
Amid the Shang, the zone around Qufu was home to the general population of Yan, who were considered by the Chinese as a real part of the "Eastern Barbarians" or Dongyi. Alongside Pugu and Xu, Yan joined the Shang sovereign Wu Geng and the Three Guards in their fizzled insubordination to the Duke of Zhou.

After the revolutionaries' thrashing, the Duke propelled corrective crusades against the Dongyi, driving their accommodation and putting their region under steadfast nobles. The region of the Yan turned out to be a piece of the territory of Lu, who made Qufu their capital all through the Spring and Autumn period. This city had dividers extensively bigger than the present Ming-period strongholds, including more land toward the east and north.
