About Puji Temple

Puji Temple is a Buddhist temple situated on the island of Putuoshan in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, China. Puji Temple is the biggest Buddhist temple in Mount Putuo, the temple is additionally the primary temple revering Guanyin. It is known as "Front Temple" since it situated in the southern foot of Lingjiu Peak. Along the focal pivot are Shanmen, Four Heavenly Kings Hall, Mahavira Hall, Yuantong Hall, Buddhist Texts Library and so on. There are more than 600 corridors and rooms on the two sides, including Hall of Guru, Hall of Arhat, Dining Hall and Meditation Hall. Yuantong Hall is the principle lobby to revere Guanyin. It was worked in 1214 amid the Southern Song administration and modified in 1693 amid the rule of Kangxi Emperor of the Qing tradition.

The corridor is 18-meter 59 ft high, 42-meter 138 ft wide and 24-meter 79 ft profound. It is single-layer and twofold eave wooden structure and secured with yellow coated tiles on the rooftop with grave and rich cornices. He wears grand crown which has a statue of Amitabha presenting in mudras on it. On the opposite sides of the corridor sit 32 statues of Guanyin, speaking to his different appearances on the planet. It is the most punctual existing design in Mount Putuo. The Free Life Pond before Puji Temple is rumored for the five-shading twin lotus. The Yongshou Bridge was worked in 1606 in the late Ming tradition.
