Pingxiang

Pingxiang is a medium-sized prefecture-stage metropolis located in western Jiangxi province, People's Republic of China. Pingxiang is a limitrophe city between Jiangxi and Hunan provinces. Approximately 70 miles from Changsha, Hunan, about a hundred and sixty miles from Nanchang. Most of the region across the city is hilly and mountainous, regardless of of the city itself is relatively flat. As a sub-tropical climatic metropolis, Pingxiang has slight winters, long and warm summers, with masses of rainfall.

Archaeological evidence suggests that Pingxiang become first settled in the course of the Stone Age. During the Han dynasty, it turned into a part of Yichun. In 267, at some point of the time of the Three Kingdoms, it have become Pingxiang County, which made it a higher stage of administration than what it is today. During the Tang Dynasty, it become part of the Jiangnanxi Circuit, and become known as Yuanzhou. Its name and region of management were changed many times until 1970, while it assumed its gift form.
