About Old Summer Palace
Otherwise called the Ruins of the Yuanmingyuan the Garden of Perfection and Light, the Old Summer Palace is found northwest of Beijing and toward the east of the present-day Summer Palace. The Garden was first developed in the time of 1709 amid the rule of the Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty 1644-1911.
Throughout the following 150 years, this Garden was ventured into a huge scale Chinese sovereigns' private joy cultivate, covering an aggregate region of more than 864 sections of land 350 hectares. As a rule, the old Summer Palace comprises of three sections - Yuanmingyuan, Wanchunyuan the Garden of Blossoming Spring and Changchunyuan the Garden of Eternal Spring.
