Highlights of Jiangnan living arrangements are incorporated into the historical center outline by embellishments produced using old tiles and bamboo. This outline insinuates the geological component in Ningbo and in addition the significance of over-ocean trade in its history, along these lines making the historical center an image of Ningbo history and culture.
Situated on the second floor of the gallery, this is the primary display of the exhibition hall, demonstrating the historical backdrop of Ningbo from the Hemudu culture until the Republic of China. Significant stories are about old societies, the extension of the city, abroad trade, the advancement of Eastern Zhejiang Scholars and Ningbo Commercial Group. Substantial measure of ancient rarities, noteworthy photos and models are shown.
