About Nanshan Temple

Arranged 40 kilometers 25 miles from Sanya City, Hainan Province, the Nanshan Temple South Mountain Temple positions as one of the attractions in the Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone. Involving a zone of 400 mu 66 sections of land, it is the greatest Buddhist lecturing site built up since the establishment of the People's Republic of China. Settling at the foot of Nanshan Mountain, a favorable area celebrated for Chinese Buddhist culture with accentuation on lifespan bliss, Nanshan Temple was finished on 12 April 1998, the 2,000th commemoration year of Buddhism coming to China.

With its aggregate floor space of 40,000 sq meters 10 sections of land, this sanctuary brags a few reproductions of Tang Dynasty 618-907 design. The Renwang Gate Mountain Gate, the passage to the sanctuary, has two figures of Buddha remaining there as watchmen. Also, seven Buddhist figures are cherished in the Doushuai Adytum or Hall. The Maitreya Buddha Sanskrit, Mile in Chinese is amidst the Hall with two Bodhisattvas on each side.

Around these three Buddhist pictures stand the Four Heavenly Kings, who go about as Buddhist watchmen with obligations to ensure every single living animal and to bring positive climate and sufficient reap. From the Doushuai Adytum, a yard conveys guests to Jin Tang, likewise brought in the season of the Tang Dynasty, Daxiongbaodian Hall of Ceremony.
