About Nanjing
Lying on the south bank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, is a standout amongst the most delightful goals in China.
Known as the capital city of six or ten administrations in old Chinese history, it has a splendid social heritage.Yuecheng, the principal recorded military safeguard developed in mid 472 B.C., opened the long history of Nanjing. In the next years, the city achieved its tallness of wonder at different circumstances.
In 229, Sun Quan, one of the three legends in Three Kingdoms Period 220 - 280, to reinforce his impact in the center valley of the Yangtze River, moved the capital of his kingdom here and named it Jianye. From that time on, the city filled in as the capital for a few traditions ever.
In 1356, in a laborer resistance, Zhu Yuanzhang, later the Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty 1368 - 1644, vanquished the city and renamed it Yingtian Fu.
In 1368, Zhu set up the Ming Dynasty - the last medieval administration managed by the local Han individuals - and gave Yingtian Fu the new name of the city.
After ten years, the sovereign made it the capital of the nation. The Mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, normally known as Xiaoling Mausoleum of Ming Dynasty, is roosting on the southern incline of the Purple Mountain in the northeastern piece of the city.
