About Mount Liang
Mount Liang is a mountain in Liangshan County, Shandong, China which ascends to 197.9 meters above ocean level. It is outstanding as the fortress of the 108 Stars of Destiny in the Chinese established novel Water Margin. The advanced Liangshan County is found a couple of kilometers toward the north, and 80 kilometers west of the Beijing– Shanghai railroad. The first Mount Liang was named after the Prince of Liang, a child of Emperor Wen of the Han administration. After his passing, the sovereign was covered on the mountain.
The region was from ancient occasions encompassed by the biggest marshland in North China, called the Daye Marsh and later the Liangshan Marsh. Amid the Song administration, the Yellow River coursed through the territory. Mount Liang was situated at the extraordinary north of what wound up known as the "800 li moorage of Mount Liang". Since the zone was to a great extent a no man's land on the outskirts of a few authoritative units, government control was negligible.
At the point when the Yellow River moved course in 1289, the swamps around Mount Liang contracted extensively. Amid the Ming line, it had been decreased to five littler marshlands. After the Yellow River moved back to its northern course in 1853, the swamps were bit by bit filled in by dregs conveyed downstream by the waterway and human land recovery. Today, the moderately little Dongping Lake is the thing that remaining parts of the extraordinary swamps.
