About Lingguang Temple
Lingguang Temple is a Buddhist temple placed in Meizhou, Guangdong, China. The temple traces its origins to the previous "Shengshou Temple", founded by using grasp Pan Liaoquan inside the Xiantong length of the Tang dynasty, and might later end up "Lingguang Temple" in 1385 all through the reign of Hongwu Emperor at the sunrise of Ming dynasty. The complex consist of the subsequent halls: Mahavira Hall, Hall of Four Heavenly Kings, Zhutian Hall, Bell tower, Drum tower, Hall of Guru, Dharma Hall, Meditation Hall, Dining Room, etc.
Maitreya is enshrined inside the Hall of Four Heavenly Kings and in the back of his statue is a statue of Skanda. Statues of Four Heavenly Kings are enshrined within the left and right aspects. The Mahavira Hall is 14.52-metre wide and 14.75-metre deep with the architectural fashion of the Tang dynasty. Statue of Pan Liaoquan is enshrined in the front of the corridor. In the center are statues of Thousand Armed and Eyed Guanyin, Ksitigarbha and Mulian. Statue of Guanyin is located at the back of the corridor.
