About Liaoyuan
Liaoyuan is a prefecture-level city in Jilin region, People's Republic of China. It is limited on the west and south by Tieling of Liaoning region, west and north by Siping, and east by Tonghua and Jilin City. Liaoyuan lies somewhere in the range of 100 km 62 mi south of Changchun, the common capital. Covering a zone of 5,125 km2 1,979 sq mi, Liaoyuan is the littlest among the prefecture-level divisions of Jilin. Liaoyuan has an aggregate populace of 1,176,645 in the prefecture, while the urban territory has a populace of 462,233.
Liaoyuan was a royal chasing ground amid the Qing administration, passing by the name Shengjing Paddock. Normal natives were precluded from entering this locale until late 1800s, when rushes of workers from Hebei, Shandong and Henan started to populate Manchuria see Chuang Guandong. In 1902, Qing government built up Xi'an County in this area, which turned into the present Xi'an District. As an area level city, Liaoyuan was under Siping Prefecture's locale till 1983, when it turned into a prefecture-level city, managing two regions and two regions.
