About Jiangxin Temple
Jiangxin Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary situated on Jiangxin Island, in Lucheng District of Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China. The sanctuary was first worked with the name of "Puji Chan Temple" in 866, in the rule of Emperor Yizong of the Tang administration. It was renamed "Longxiang Chan Temple" in 1131, in the Shaoxing time of Southern Song dynasty.Because the sanctuary arranged amidst the Ou River, it all the more regularly known as the "Jiangxin Temple".
The West Pagoda was first worked in 869 or 969 and experienced three to a great extent redesigns, individually in the decision of Hongwu Emperor in the Ming administration, in the reign of Wanli Emperor and in the Qianlong time of the Qing dynasty. The seventh stories, 32 meter tall, Hexagonal based Chinese pagoda is made of block and stone. A sum of 16 statues of Buddha are cut in the body of the pagoda.
The East Pagoda was initially worked in 869 or 969 and remade in the accompanying traditions ordinarily. Hexagon fit as a fiddle, it has seven stories with the stature of 28 metre. The pagoda initially had rafters and halls, in 1894, the British government built up the British Consulate in Wenzhou close to the pagoda, and constrained neighborhood government to crush the rafters and passageways.
