About Dunhua
Dunhua is a county level metropolis of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in southeastern Jilin province, People's Republic of China. Yanbian is an self sustaining prefecture in northeastern Jilin Province, China. Yanbian is bordered to the north by using Heilongjiang, on the west by way of Baishan and Jilin City, at the south by way of North Hamgyong Province of North Korea, and at the east by using Primorsky Krai of Russia. Yanbian is special as an self sufficient prefecture because of the huge number of ethnic Koreans living within the place.
The prefectural capital is Yanji, and the entire area is 42,700 square kilometres. The prefecture has an important Balhae archaeological website: the Ancient Tombs at Longtou Mountain, which includes the Mausoleum of Princess Jeonghyo. It has greater than 480,000 inhabitants and become the capital of Balhae among 742 to 756, recognised on the time as "Junggyeong". During the Qing Dynasty it become referred to as Aodong in Chinese and Odoli in Manchu.
