Ciqikou Old Town

Arranged on the bank of the Jia Ling River, not a long way from its conversion to the powerful Yangtze is the antiquated town of Ci Qi Kou, in the past known as Long Yin. Covering a territory of nearly 291.6 sections of land 1.2 square kilometers, it is 9 miles 14 kilometers toward the west of Chongqing Municipality.he history of Ci Qi Kou can be followed back for over 1,700 years.

Amid the Ming and Qing Dynasties 1368-1911, it was well known for its creation of porcelain. To date, more than twenty old furnace destinations have been found there.

The greater part of the houses in the city of Ciqikou date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, periods amid which numerous showstoppers of Chinese engineering were made.
