About Cien Temple
Cien Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary situated in Shenhe District of Shenyang, Liaoning, China. Cien Temple is the site of headquarter of Shenyang Buddhist Association. Cien Temple was first worked in 1628, amid the reign of Hong Taiji in the late Ming line. In 1644, at the beginning of the Qing administration, the Main Hall, Hall of Skanda and passageways were added to the sanctuary. Be that as it may, the sanctuary wound up weather beaten for disregard. In 1912, abbot Buzhen started to remake the sanctuary. The reproduction took 18 years, and kept going from 1912 to 1930.
The sanctuary was assigned as a civil level key insurance unit in 1985 and common level key social legacy in 1988. In 1983, the sanctuary has been assigned as a National Key Buddhist Temple in Han Chinese Area by the State Council of China. Possessing a territory of 2,995-square-meter, Cien Temple has 135 structures and corridors. The whole complex faces the west and has a lovely design in the request of the Shanmen, Four Heavenly Kings Hall, Mahavira Hall, Bhikkhu Hall and Buddhist Texts Library. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower are set on the two sides of the Four Heavenly Kings Hall.
