About Cemetery of Confucius
The Cemetery of Confucius is a burial ground of the Kong faction in Confucius' main residence Qufu in Shandong area. Confucius himself and a portion of his pupils are covered there, and additionally a large number of his relatives. Since 1994, the Cemetery of Confucius has been a piece of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Sanctuary and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu". The two different segments of the site are the Temple of Confucius committed to the memory of the thinker and the Kong Family Mansion, where his relatives lived.
The three locales are on the whole referred to in Qufu as San Kong, i.e. "The Three Confucian ". In 1331 development work started on the divider and door of the burial ground. Altogether, the burial ground has experienced 13 redesigns and augmentations. In the long run, by the late eighteenth century, the border divider achieved a length of 7.5 kilometers, encasing a territory of 3.6 square kilometres. In this space, the tombs of in excess of 100,000 relatives of Confucius, who have been covered there over a time of around 2,000 years, can be found. The most established graves go back to the Zhou Dynasty, the latest of which have a place with relatives in the 76th and 78th era.
