About Westmount
Westmount is a prosperous suburb on the Island of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is an enclave of the city of Montreal, with a populace of 19,931 as of the Canada 2011 Census. Westmount is home to schools, a field, a pool, an open library and ious parks, including Westmount Park, King George Park otherwise called Murray Hill Park and Westmount Summit. The city works its own power conveyance organization Westmount Light and Power Hydro-Westmount. It presently rivals the Vancouver neighborhoods of Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale, and the Toronto neighborhoods of Lawrence Park, Forest Hill, Rosedale, and The Bridle Path, for the title. From the minute the main French pioneers settled in the zone amidst the seventeenth century, this territory was known by a few names including La Petite Montagne, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and Cote-Saint-Antoine. A previous farmhouse from this time, Hurtubise House, still stands and is at present under redesign.
