About Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park
In 2007, the International Dark-Sky Association named Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park the International Dark-Sky Park. The Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park is the association of the Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada and the Glacier National Park in the United States.
The association of the parks was accomplished through the endeavors of Rotary International individuals from Alberta and Montana, on June 18, 1932. The two parks are pronounced Biosphere Reserves by UNESCO and their association as a World Heritage Site.
The devotion address was given by Sir Charles Arthur Mander, second Baronet. The two parks are controlled independently and have isolate entrance fees.
