Wasaga Beach
About Wasaga Beach
Wasaga Beach is a town in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Arranged along the second-longest freshwater shoreline on the planet, it is a prevalent summer vacationer goal, situated along the southern end of Georgian Bay, around two hours north of Toronto, and neighbors, toward the west, Collingwood and The Blue Mountains which pull in guests a great part of the year. The town is arranged along a long sandy shoreline on Nottawasaga Bay in Georgian Bay and the winding Nottawasaga River. The shorelines are a piece of the Ontario Parks' Wasaga Beach Provincial Park; the recreation center zone aggregates 168 hectares.
Wasaga Beach likewise has numerous occasional occupants. The economy has battled for a few years, especially since a noteworthy fire in late November 2007 decimated a considerable lot of the stores, and because of a decrease in the quantity of sightseers in a region where the essential shopping season is three to four months out of each year. In March 2017, the town passed its Downtown Development Master Plan, a 20-year methodology for critical redevelopment of the visitor territory and adding a downtown to the business region. The objective is to enhance tourism, enhance the economy, and free itself of the "party town" picture.
