Oshawa

Oshawa is a city in Ontario, Canada, on the Lake Ontario shoreline. It lies in Southern Ontario, approximately 60 kilometres east of Downtown Toronto. It is normally seen as the eastern grapple of the Greater Toronto Area and the Golden Horseshoe. It is the biggest region in the Regional Municipality of Durham. The name Oshawa begins from the Ojibwa expression aazhaway, signifying "the intersection put" or only "a cross". Oshawa's foundations are attached to the car business, particularly the Canadian division of General Motors, known as General Motors Canada. Established in 1876 as the McLaughlin Carriage Company, General Motors of Canada's home office are situated in the city.

The car business was the motivation for Oshawa's past witticisms: "The City that Motovates Canada", and "The City in Motion". The rich home of the carriage organization's originator, Parkwood Estate, is a National Historic Site of Canada, and a setting favored by ious film teams, highlighted in numerous movies including It, Billy Madison, Chicago, and X-Men. Once perceived as the sole "Car Capital of Canada", Oshawa today is an instruction and wellbeing sciences center. The city is home to three post-auxiliary foundations Durham College, Trent University Durham and University of Ontario Institute of Technology and to Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Lakeridge Health and Education Research Network LHEARN Center and the Oshawa Clinic, the biggest, multi-claim to fame restorative gathering practice in Canada.
