Musee du Fort

The Musee du Fort isn't a historical center in the customary sense, however a blended show of Quebec City and the encompassing region and a video of the historical backdrop of Quebec City. This is an "absolute necessity see" for the beginner student of history. Guests find out about the fights between the French and the English which eventually brought about the exchange of eastern Canada to the English.

The Musée du Fort presents an original and unique sound and light show on the military history of Québec City.Completely renovated to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015, this mini-museum houses a 30-minute multimedia show that chronicles centuries of attacks on Québec City. It’s all played out on a model/diorama that lights up in the middle of a mini-theater. Even with seven newly installed projectors, it's not exactly high tech, but it does offer a quick, easy-to-grasp audiovisual survey of the battles that shaped Québec City’s history.
