This was Set up in 1972, the 272-hectare Lynde Shores Conservation Area, together with the abutting Cranberry West Tract 40 hectares is striking for its common life seeing open, including both Lynde Creek Marsh and Cranberry Marsh.
Not with standing their significance to natural life, both Lynde Creek swamp and Cranberry Marsh give numerous other vital capacities that are average of the few staying beach front wetlands found along this northern area of the Lake Ontario shoreline.
