About Louiseville
Louiseville is a town in the Mauricie locale of the territory of Quebec in Canada. It is situated close to the mouth of the 'Riviere-du-Loup', on the north shore of Lac Saint-Pierre.Louiseville is twinned with Soissons in France and Cerfontaine in Belgium. The territory was a initially part of the la Seignorie Riviere-du-Loup. This seignory was shaped in 1665 by Intendant Jean Talon and conceded in 1672 to Charles Dugey Rozoy-de-Mannereuil, officer in the Carignan Regiment. The seignory was from that point otherwise called Riviere-Mannereuil for quite a while.
In 1816, its mail station opened. In 1845, the Parish Municipality of Riviere-du-Loup-en-Haut was framed, and canceled two years after the fact in 1847. It was restored in 1855 as Saint-Antoine-de-la-Riviere-du-Loup, named after the area benefactor and the seignory. In 1878, the fundamental settlement isolated from the area district and framed the Village Municipality of Riviere-du-Loup. Only one year later it was renamed to Louiseville with the end goal to maintain a strategic distance from perplexity with another town called Riviere-du-Loup in the Bas-Saint-Laurent area. The new name was a tribute to Princess Louise, the third little girl of Queen Victoria, who had intended to visit the Mauricie that equivalent year.
