About Jasper National Park
Jasper National Park is the biggest national stop in the Canadian Rockies, traversing 11,000 km2 4,200 sq mi. It is situated in the territory of Alberta, north of Banff National Park and west of Edmonton. The recreation center incorporates the icy masses of the Columbia Icefield, hot springs, lakes, waterfalls and mountains.
Jasper was named after Jasper Hawes, who worked an exchanging post in the district for the North West Company. Prior to this it was alluded to as Fitzhugh. A portion of the key features in Jasper National Park are Maligne Lake, which is much of the time imagined in promotions for the Canadian Rockies, Mount Edith Cavell with the staggering Angel Glacier, and Maligne Canyon.
