Indian Head
About Indian Head
Indian Head is a town in southeast Saskatchewan, Canada, 69 kilometres east of Regina. The town is directly north of the Trans-Canada Highway. It "had its beginnings in 1882 as the primary pilgrims, fundamentally of Scottish source, pushed into the region ahead of time of the railroad, most going by bull truck from Brandon." "Indian" obviously alludes to Aboriginal Canadians. The town is known for its governmentally worked exploratory ranch and tree nursery, which has created and dispersed seedlings for asylum belts since 1901.
For a long time the program was controlled by the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration. It was fused as a town in 1902. In that year the Canadian Journal, distributed by James McAra, noticed that Indian Head was the biggest purpose of introductory shipment of wheat on the planet. Today it is controlled by the Agroforestry Development Center. Today " has a scope of expert administrations and tradespeople, money related organizations, and countless foundations."
The CBC TV sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie was in part recorded here. Despite the fact that the common government Saskatchewan Air Ambulance framework was not built up until 1946, Indian Head called to Charlie Skinner, a pilot in Regina in 1935. Transport was expected to get the specialist from Indian Head to Odessa to treat a fundamentally sick patient amid a period when the streets were hindered by snow. In this way started Skinner's Air Service.
