About Ha Ling Peak
Ha Ling Peak is at the top of the northwestern end of Mount Lawrence Grassi — a mountain found promptly south of the town of Canmore only east of the Spray Lakes street in Alberta's Canadian Rockies. It was already named Chinaman's Peak yet the name was changed to be less hostile. The name of the mountain has been liable to much debate. Initially, the mountain was alluded to locally as The Beehive. In 1896 Ha Ling, a Chinese cook for the Canadian Pacific Railway. The name Chinaman's Peak did not wind up authority until 1980. Afterward, in 1997 it was renamed Ha Ling Peak as the term Chinaman was seen as injurious.
There is a climbing course up the south side. On the north side there are a few specialized climbing courses up the face and a troublesome scrambling course up Canmore Couloir, situated between Mount Lawrence Grassi and Miner's Col. As indicated by the Medicine Hat News of October 22, 1896, he began the climb at 7:00 am the past Saturday morning and was back in time for lunch. As no one trusted his story, he drove a gathering of cynics to the summit where he planted a substantially bigger banner next to the first, this one noticeable to the stripped eye from Canmore. The townsfolk alluded to the mountain as Chinaman's Peak in his respect.
