About Doon Heritage Village

Doon Heritage Village is located at the Waterloo Region Museum and is open occasionally from May to December. The Waterloo Region Museum is open every day consistently, while the town isn't open ends of the week in September, October and November. Doon Heritage Village is a beautiful 60 section of land living history town that shows guests what life resembled in Waterloo Region in the year 1914. The Waterloo Region Museum, opened in 2010, was planned by Moriyama and Teshima Architects.

Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village are possessed and worked by the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. Doon Heritage Village is a living history exhibition hall situated in the previous Doon town, now part of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada which reproduces life in rustic Waterloo County amid the year 1914. It has in excess of 22 structures on in excess of 24 hectares 60 sections of land, by Homer Watson Park. Development started in late 2008 on the new Waterloo Region Museum.

The exhibition hall is situated at the passage to Doon Heritage Village and the building opened on May 1, 2010. The historical center and shows were authoritatively opened in November 2011. Waterloo Region Museum is a grounds of verifiable attractions and conservation offices, including the Waterloo Region Museum, Doon Heritage Village, the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame, and the Waterloo Region Curatorial Center. The grounds of offices has made the biggest network gallery in Ontario.
