About Centennial Park Sarnia

This lovely waterfront park opened in 1967 to rejoice Canada’s Centennial. In the beyond the area alongside the St. Clair River changed into home to Sarnia’s early enterprise which include sawmills, lumberyards, railroad, and delivery. Today, the park features award winning floral gardens, a kids’s play area, Court of Flags, taking walks trails, undertaking and enjoyment place all maintained via the metropolis’s parks and pastime department. The waterfront park is a popular venue for severa sporting activities, live shows and fairs. Every iciness the park is illuminated with hundreds of colourful lighting for the Celebration of Lights Christmas event.
The park has gone through a main remediation challenge, which is now complete. Mobility devise users can now recharge their batteries at 12 one of a kind charging stations across Lambton County. Participating electric retailers have now been changed to the shade blue and are geared up with signage. Charging stations are to be had at the Bayside Centre, Bright’s Grove Library, Canatara Park, Centennial Park, Germain Park, Lambton Public Health, the Lambton Shared Services Centre, Mallroad Library, Sarnia City Hall, Sarnia LIbrary, the Strangway Centre and Tecumseh Park.
