About Caledon
Caledon is a town in the Regional Municipality of Peel in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. Caledon is a creating urban region despite the fact that it remains fundamentally rustic. It comprises of an amalgamation of ious urban territories, towns, and villages; its major urban focus is Bolton on its eastern side neighboring York Region. Caledon is one of three districts of Peel Region. The town is only northwest of the city of Brampton. At more than 688 km², Caledon is the biggest city or town by territory in the Greater Toronto Area.
Maclean's magazine named Caledon the most secure town in Canada to live in for a long time running. However, neighborhood media announced in 2010 that wrongdoing rates have expanded since the Maclean's article. By 1869, Belfountain was a Village with a populace of 100 in the Township of Caledon County Peel. It was set up on the Credit River. There were stagecoaches to Erin and Georgetown. The normal cost of land was $20. Caledon acquired the name from Caledon Township, which was likely named by pioneers, similar to Edward Ellis who originated from the territory around Caledon, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland or by open casting a ballot.
