About Bowmanville
Bowmanville is a town of roughly 40,000 individuals situated in the Municipality of Clarington, Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. It is around 75 km 47 mi east of Toronto, and 15 km 9.3 mi east of Oshawa along Highway 2. Bowmanville was first consolidated as a town in 1858, however later joined with the neighboring townships of Clarke and Darlington in 1974 framing the Town of Newcastle, which was renamed in 1994 to the Municipality of Clarington.
Bowmanville is a piece of the Greater Toronto Area. It was constructed first on Barber's Creek now called Bowmanville Creek, including regardless one standing, now called Vanstone's Mill, at the present-day crossing point of King Street and Scugog St. More factories were based on adjacent Soper Creek, including another factory as yet remaining as the region's Visual Arts Center which has been assigned as a compositionally secured verifiable building. Burke later sold his property to Lewis.
Lewis opened the principal store in what was then called Darlington Mills. The store was acquired in around 1824 by Charles Bowman for whom the town was in the long run named who at that point built up the principal post office. Its first postmaster was Robert Fairbairn, who ran the mail station from 1828 to 1857. By 1866, Bowmanville was a town with a populace of around 3,500 in the township of Darlington, County Durham. It was a station of the Grand Trunk Railway. It was built up on the north shore of Lake Ontario.
