About Bell Park
Bell Park is a massive municipal park in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, located on the western shore of Ramsey Lake. The park is known as for William J. Bell, an early lumber baron within the town whose former Belrock mansion is also the website online of the Art Gallery of Sudbury. The park web site is a part of his property land, donated to the town by using him upon his dying. Two former mayors of the town also are honoured in the park grounds: the park's amphitheatre is known as for Grace Hartman, and a boardwalk connecting the park to the nearby Science North web site alongside the Ramsey Lake coastline is called in honour of Jim Gordon.
The park has an amphitheatre, two gazebos, numerous flowerbeds, a enormous sculpture commemorating the town's mining historical past,a major seashore and canteen, a children's playground vicinity, washrooms at two places inside the park, and enough parking for site visitors. The park has been the website of many cultural occasions inside the metropolis, together with the Northern Lights Festival Boréal,the Sudbury Summerfest, the metropolis's annual dragonboat races and a summer time live performance series. The Bell Park Gazebo Concert Series showcases the skills of local performers in a summer season concert collection held on the gazebo, and is freed from charge. In 2015, the seashore at Bell Park turned into provided Blue Flag beach certification by means of the international Foundation for Environmental Education.
