About Tutong
Tutong District Malay, Tutong is one of the four town of Brunei. The main town is Tutong. The locale fringes the South China Sea toward the north, the Bruneian region of Brunei-Muara and the Malaysian province of Sarawak toward the east and the Bruneian region of Belait toward the west. The Tutong River courses through the region. With the measure of 1,166 square kilometers, Tutong District is the third biggest area in the country. As of 2016, it has the number of inhabitants in 49,438 and involves five primary ethnic networks: Tutong, Dusun, Kedayan, Iban and Chinese.
Tutong District is separated into 8 mukims or subdistricts. There are a few government schools and a couple of non-public schools in the area, which offer essential, optional and post-secondary 6th form training. The administration schools are principally directed under the Ministry of Education. There are 30 primary schools, 5 secondary schools and one 6th from colleges in the locale, which are gathered under Cluster 6 of the Ministry's school regulatory area.
These schools offer optional training that prompts Brunei-Cambridge GCE O Level. The sole 6th frame school of the region is the Tutong Sixth Form Center and offers 6th form instruction which prompts GCE A Level. There are six tuition based schools in the area. Tutong has the biggest lake in Brunei, Tasek Merimbun, which is encompassing the Tasek Merimbun Heritage Park.
