Seria is a beach front town on the north-east shoreline of the island of Borneo, in the Bruneian locale of Belait. Officially referred to in Malay as Pekan Seria actually 'Seria Town', it is represented as a region Malay: bandaran, and two town level subdivisions under the mukim of a similar name. Seria was the first place where oil was found in Brunei, and has since turned into an inside for oil and gas industry, the essential business of the nation.
Seria is situated in the Belait District, in the mukim of a similar name. The city town focus is set in matrix that is limited by Jalan Tengah and the Seria Arena toward the north, Jalan Lorong Satu Barat toward the east, Jalan Bolkiah toward the south, and Jalan Lorong Tiga Barat toward the west. It has a territory of 0.603 km². Suburbia of Panaga are situated toward the west of the town while Kampong Baru is situated toward the east of the town.
The official capital of the Belait locale, Kuala Belait is situated around 10 miles 16 kilometers toward the west and is connected to Seria by both street. Mukim Labi, likewise in the Belait locale is situated toward the east of Seria and the national capital of Bandar Seri Begawan is around 100 km toward the north-east.
Seria is the core of the oil business in Brunei, and furthermore the site of the main business inland oilfield found in Brunei. The town sits on the Seria Field, which was found in 1929 and has been persistently underway from that point forward except for brief periods after the Japanese attack and Allied freedom of Brunei in the Second World War. There are ious gesturing jackasses in and around the town and this has turned into the informal image of the town.
