Solanea 

Solanea is a municipality in the state of Paraiba Brazil, located in the Immediate Geographical Region of Guarabira. According to IBGE Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, in the year 2017 its population was estimated at 26,376 inhabitants. The foundation itself is attributed to the inhabitants who populated the region, around the years 1750-1800. According to official history, one of the descendants of the settlers of the Soares Cardoso Moreno family, coming from Ceara, established a dwelling on the flat lands with a cattle and plantation.

With the growth of the region, some pioneers - such as Leoncio Costa, Alfredo Pessoa de Lima, and many others - made efforts to transform the small town into a District of Peace. This only occurred on December 4, 1926. Assured by Law 637, the small cluster became known as Moreno, named after its founder. From 1927, Moreno lived intense days of social and cultural life, beginning to project in the communal scene. In 15 of November of 1938, under Decree Law No. 1164, Moreno rises to the category of town.
