About Sao Luis Island
Sao Luis Island otherwise called Upaon-acu Island or Maranhao Island is an island in the territory of Maranhao, Brazil with a zone of 1,410 square kilometers 544 sq mi, situated between the Bay of San Marcos and the Bay of St. Joseph. There are 4 urban communities situated in the island Sao Luis, after which the island is named, Sao Jose de Ribamar, Paco do Lumiar, and Raposa.
