Sao Joao da Baliza

Sao Joao da Baliza is a Brazilian municipality within the kingdom of Roraima. Its population, in step with estimates of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, turned into 7,740 population in 2017. The name of the municipality is related to the construction of BR-210. Joao Pereira misplaced a beacon of the topography carrier in an igarape near in which today the headquarters is located. Hence the place inherited this name.

A small correction inside the facts Mr. Joao Pereira arrived within the municipality in 1976, one year after the first pioneers, Mr. Joao de Deus and Mr. Joao Bezerra and their respective households. As for the call of the town, this become because of the quantity of "joes" of the village and beacon because of a dispute among surveyors who have been opening the BR-210 via the old organisation Paranapanema.
