Presidente Medici

Presidente Medici is a municipality placed in the Brazilian country of Rondonia. It has a population of 22,319, a 12% drop from the 2005 discern of 25,473 residents. Its region is 1,758 km². Presidente Medici municipality is divided into four bairros: Centro, Ernandes Goncalves, Cunha e Silva, and Lino Alves Teixeira. In 1915 Major Candido Rondon of the Corps of Military Engineers, who was directing the development of a telegraph line from Cuiaba in neighbouring Mato Grosso state to Santo Antonio do Madeira close to Porto Velho, stated that the area became inhabited by means of rubber tappers and plantation people in Sao Pedro do Muqui.

The location remained without a doubt unchanged for about 50 years, until highway production ultimately made the nation of Rondonia on hand for colonization. The first settlers arrived inside the 1960s, settling in four tents alongside the muddy right-of-manner.
