About Parque Portugal
Parque Portugal, also known as Lagoa do Taquaral is an urban public park in the city of Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil. It has been set around a delightful tidal pond and nearby lush park, and is a substantial metropolitan amusement and games stop, with a planetarium, a science exhibition hall, an indoor games stadium and swimming pool, kart hustling and demonstrate plane territories, an open show theater, coasting caravel imitation, a working recorded tramway, pedalos, offices for a few kinds of games, including a long track for running, cycling and strolling, eateries, and so forth.
Taquaral signifies "bamboo woods" in Portuguese, likely on the grounds that the tidal pond was initially rimmed with this sort of plant it never again is, rather eucalyptus trees have been planted around it. The name Portugal was given as a tribute to the pioneers and outsiders of Brazil, the Portuguese individuals. The legacy cable car line around the recreation center opened in 1972 and utilizes four noteworthy cable cars. The tramway was recently worked around then and opened just four years after the end of the city's last cable car benefit. In July 2007, Campinas perusers of the Correio Popular daily paper and the Cosmo site have voted Lagoa do Taquaral as one of the "Seven Wonders of Campinas".
