Icatu

Icatu is a municipality in the kingdom of Maranhao, Brazil. It is located inside the micro - location of Rosario, in the northern Maranhense mesoregion. Its expected population in 2004 was 21 905 inhabitants. It has a surface of 1 547 km². It became created in 1614. It is placed in the North Coast Zone of the Meso-region of japanese Maranhao and Microregion of the Lower East Maranhense.
