About Fonte Grande State Park
The Fonte Grande State Park Portuguese: Parque Estadual da Fonte Grande is a state park in the state of Espirito Santo, Brazil. The Fonte Grande State Park is in the Central Massif of Vitoria island, in the region of Vitoria, Espirito Santo. It has a region of 218 hectares 540 sections of land. The Central Massif additionally contains the Gruta da Onca Park, Pedra dos Olhos Ecological Reserve and the Tabuazeiro Park, which has 210 hectares 520 sections of land of Atlantic Forest leftovers. There are radio and TV towers on the highest point of the Fonte Grande slope, outside the recreation center territory.
The Fonte Grande neighborhood was a slave shelter in the seventeenth century. The slope is named for the numerous wellsprings of water it contains. It was involved from the beginning of the nineteenth century, with wooden shacks bit by bit spreading up the inclines. The Fonte Grande State Park was constituted with a territory of 218 hectares through law 3.875 of 7 August 1986. The recreation center was initiated in 2001 and is directed by the region of Vitoria.
