About Fernando de Noronha

Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago of 21 islands and islets within the Atlantic Ocean, 354 km offshore from the Brazilian coast. The archipelago's call is a corruption of the call of the Portuguese service provider Fernao de Loronha, to whom it become given by way of the Portuguese crown for offerings rendered regarding timber imported from Brazil. Only the homonymous essential island is inhabited; it has an area of 18.4 km2 and a population predicted at 2,718 in 2012. The archipelago's overall area is 26 km2.

Administratively, the islands are a unique case in Brazil of a special "state district" that isn't part of any municipality and is run directly via the government of the state of Pernambuco. The nation district's jurisdiction also includes the very faraway Saint Peter and Saint Paul Archipelago, located 625 kilometres northeast of Fernando de Noronha. 70% of the islands' place have been established in 1988 as a countrywide maritime park. In 2001, UNESCO unique it as a World Heritage Site due to the importance of its environment.

Know Everything about the Christmas Capital of the Philippines - San Fernando

The City of San Fernando is the capital of Pampanga province and is also popularly known as the ‘Christmas Capital of the Philippines’. Every year, there is a Giant Lantern Festival that is organized over here from December 16 to 24 in which different communities participate against each other by building different types of lamps and commemorating it in a superb show of light and music. The festival is a popular attraction during the nine days of Christmas as people pour in large numbers to witness the spectacle. The initial tradition of the festival began somewhere around 1908 but the present version of it evolved during the 1930s when electricity made its way into the city. However, the motto of the festival is unity among its different neighbourhoods through different lanterns. Some other facts related to the Giant Lantern Festival and the city, in particular, are also discussed here for a general understanding.
