Cocal, Piaui is a municipality inside the nation of Piaui inside the Northeast vicinity of Brazil. It consists of fragments of cerrado, caatinga and Atlantic Forest, and is domestic to the endangered crimson-passed howler. The Serra da Ibiapaba Environmental Protection Area covers parts of the states of Piaui and Ceara, with a total region of 1,592,550 hectares.
